Embracing Change, two words that hold so much meaning and a piece of advice I would share with you. As much as we try to perfectly plan our future, we have no idea what actually lies ahead.

How to surrender control

Now, goals are good, but God has taught me to bring my goals and dreams before him. Because of this I have to release control over how or when we get there. This method requires a lot more faith and trust in who He is and a lot less dependence on our own abilities. It also allows his will to be done and not us forcing our own.

If you’re anything like me, you might tell God to let his will be done and then immediately offer God some advice on how to go about the course of your life. I laugh writing this because I really do this! But we can trust God, it’s important to stay in his word so we can remind ourselves of truth.

Resting in truth makes a difference. It’s encouraging that the Lord’s word speaks to all areas of our life. “In all ways submit to him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:6

In You’ve Left Captivity, but Has Your Mind, we talked about why God takes us on the roundabout path instead of the shortest route. Even though God’s plan may not be the quickest or easiest route, we know that it is perfect. As a result, we will grow emotionally, physically, and spiritually. The end of something old is just the beginning of something new.
