Are you good enough

Are You Good Enough for Christ?

Are you good enough for Christ? Do not let this question fool you. I am not here to divide and cast judgement. Instead I am here to offer you hope rooted in truth.

I know what some of you may be thinking, “Emilee you have no idea what I have done, what I am battling, or where I am from.” And honestly, you’re right, I probably do not! But, what I do know is God created you and He is not after your sin, He is after your heart.

The Good News

Sin has already been defeated when Christ died and was risen. Friends, read that again because that’s good news! Listen, I know some churches or some Christians may have given you a false representation of Christ or made you feel like you were not “good or holy” enough to serve Christ, and for that, I am sorry. But, I’m here to tell you that you are.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love that is in Christ Jesus out Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39

In the book of Matthew, Jesus, performs many miracles by healing so many. Now, don’t get me wrong I love the whole bible, but Matthew is one of my favorites. Jesus teaches in parables and gives the way of life, while being tempted. Isn’t that something? Jesus was able to heal others, while being tempted. I could go on and on about that, but let’s focus on what he says in Matthew 9:12-13

It’s not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Those precious words came out of Jesus’ mouth, “BUT THOSE WHO KNOW THEY ARE SINNERS.” This is his response when He hears chatter about tax collectors being “scum” and why Jesus would eat with them.

If you’re broken, confused, beaten down, wore out, lost, battling sin… then great! You’re in a perfect position to begin a journey of healing with the only one who can heal you.

Don’t wait for a perfect time

You may tell yourself, “When I just get ___ in order. When I stop doing___. Once I start___. Then I will turn to him.” I’m here to tell you NO. Come as you are. You have to realize God loves you the exact same with your sin as He does when you “are not” sinning.

Jesus died for your sin before you were even born. God knew what you would do, and He still sent his son to die for you. The time is now 🙌🏽

Friends, rejoice in that. Listen, I’m 22 and my “official” (I say official because Christ has always been after me, but it wasn’t until about 2 years ago I fully went after him), journey with Christ didn’t start that long ago, but wow what He’s done in my life in just a couple of years!

I speak so confidently in this because his word is truth and being rooted in that and creating a strong prayer life can certainly do wonders in your life too. I do not say this from a place of “arrogance” I say it to encourage you, because there’s hope for you too. Turn to Him. So- are you good enough for Christ? The answer is yes. 💛

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption this is in Christ Jesus.”

Romans 3:23 -24

with love, Emilee
